The Jewish culture and kosher cuisine are inextricably linked to the history of Vienna. And yet most Viennese people know very little about this aspect of Viennese everyday life.
In order to introduce interested people to Jewish cuisine, Maschi Mermelstein-Stössel therefore offers Kosher cooking courses in Vienna and Tel Aviv.
The courses on kosher cooking are aimed at all those who want to "get a taste" of a kosher household and learn more about what lies behind the Jewish dietary laws.
All current dates are available on Maschi's homepage or on her social media channels:

How does the cooking course about Kosher Cuisine look like?
The participants cook under supervision a kosher menu and see how cooking and every day life are organized in a kosher household. During the meal, host Maschi Mermelstein-Stössel tells anecdotes and stories about Jewish customs and holidays.
The menus change depending on the season and the Jewish festivities.
If you are already hungry, here I have a recipe from Maschi for you: pickled peppers, which fits super as a side dish to grilled meat or fish or almost anything!

So interesting to give kosher cooking classes in Vienna. I visited a few years ago, and next time I come, I'd love to meet you and learn more about the current Jewish community in the city! Do you ever make shabbat meals through EatWith?

Hi Gayle! This would be lovely if you visit next time! My friend who teaches the classes does not offer shabbat meals through eatwith, but in addition to the classes, private dining and brunch (mostly on thursdays and sundays) though https://www.vienna-cooking-classes.at. See you soon and greetings from Vienna 😉 Angelika
