Roasted Bread Dumplings With Egg

Recipe for quick roasted bread dumplings with egg. Also works with potato dumplings or Tyrolean dumplings and with dumplings from the freezer (defrost beforehand). Serve with a green or mixed salad.

Zutaten

  • 1 bread dumpling can also be from the previous day or a few days old
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon fat e.g., clarified butter, oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Chives

Anleitung

  • Here comes a detailed step-by-step guide with pictures.
  • Cut the bread dumpling into cubes and fry them in fat until crispy.
  • Crack the eggs into a bowl, add salt, and beat them. Pour over the dumplings.
  • Cover the pan with a lid and let the egg set to the desired firmness at a low temperature. If you don't have a fitting lid, it can be done without one. Serve sprinkled with pepper and chives. A green or mixed salad goes well with it.
